When choosing your medium-firm mattress, skip the older spring varieties or the newer pocket spring options. Instead, look for ones made with foam to reduce the stress on pressure points. One of the best foam types for pressure reduction is memory foam, and gel foam is a good choice. This foam is a dense type of memory foam that helps to pull heat away from the body.
